In the Mormon teachings there exists a scenario of time before
the creation of this world. There is a council meeting of the heavenly
host, led by "Elohim" who is supposedly God the Father. You
should first compare the usage of that name, with "YHWH" which is the traditional
name for God, also known as the "tetragammatron."
As the scenario progresses, Lucifer and Jesus, are to present a plan to the heavenly council, their respective plans for ruling a new world. Lucifer and Jesus are shown to be brothers, after the fashion of Cain and Abel. That is, one is aggressive and negative, while the other is kind and gentle. This sets the stage for an eternal battle between the brothers.
2 Corinthians 6:14 Be not unequally yoked with unbelievers: for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? or what communion hath light with darkness? ASV
How do we reconcile this teaching with scripture such as the one
above? Simply, we do not!
It is a sacrilege to do so. The scriptures very clearly
state that there is no kinship between the two.
John 1:14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father), full of grace and truth. ASV
Some of you may disagree with what follows, but please consider it most carefully. To enjoin such a sacrilage, and hold it as truth is clearly a violation of Mark 3:22-30.
22 And the scribes that
came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and, By the prince of
the demons casteth he out the demons.
23 And he called them
unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan?
24 And if a kingdom be
divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
25 And if a house be divided
against itself, that house will not be able to stand.
26 And if Satan hath rise
up against himself, and is divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
27 But no one can enter
into the house of the strong man, and spoil his goods, except he first
bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.
28 Verily I say unto you,
All their sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and their blasphemies
wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:
29 but whosoever shall
blaspheme against the Holy Spirit hath never forgiveness, but is guilty
of an eternal sin:
30 because they said,
He hath an unclean spirit. ASV
Jesus was begotten through the work of the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found with child of the Holy Spirit . ASV
This being the case, there is a major violation of Biblical teaching to say there is a kinship between Jesus, the son of God (YHWH - YAHWEH -I am that I am) and a fallen angel!
Isaiah 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! KJV
Isaiah 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O day-star, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, that didst lay low the nations! ASV
Do you see how dangerous a teaching linking Jesus and Lucifer (Satan) is? Perhaps you need yet another passage of scripture to make it even clearer?
Revelation 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
01966 heylel {hay-lale'} from 01984 (in the sense of brightness); TWOT - 499a; n m
AV - Lucifer 1; 1
Lucifer = "light-bearer"
1) shining one, morning star,
Lucifer
1a) of the king of Babylon and
Satan (fig.)
2) (TWOT) 'Helel' describing
the king of Babylon
Ezekiel 28:13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. KJV
There exists no Biblical confusion about the issue. Lucifer, Satan, Dragon and light bearer are one in the same entity. No cross reference in scripture will eliminate this fact. There is never a mention of anything but an absolute adversarial relationship between the created fallen angel and the only begotten son of God Jesus. To say that Jesus and Lucifer are brothers is critical. It is actually a blasphemy against the Holy Spirit to say this, as you saw in the passages from Mark. This is echoed in Matthew 12:22-31.
Have you endorsed this Theology? Are you now frightened and fearfull that you have commited the "unforgiveable sin?" There is hope for you dear heart.
If what you did was in ignorance of the scriptural truth, and your conscience is now seared, you can find help and forgiveness. Your conscience is telling you to you can repent and that you haven't yet gone beyond the brink. Here is scripture that will help you.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. KJV
James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. KJV
