Greetings
in the matchless name of our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. Here below is a
detailed report for the 4 moths period since I was ordained as Reverend of the
newl GCMI Ministry in Kenya. I have attached pictures of the projects we are
undertaking and the events we held during the past months. Pictures and photos
of the events that have taken place during the 4 month period, and Rev Starlin
and that of the orphan’s project under GCMI Ministry in Kenya are attached
herein. 4 MONTHS REPORT ON THE KENYAN GCMI MINISTRY THE NEW GCMI MINISTRY IN
KENYA. Rev Samuel Starlin Ondigo who was ordained as Rev by the GCMI Board last
year (2008) entered into a full time ministry this year 2009. After further and
serious consultations with the ministry he was pastoring for close to 4 years
agreed to serve and fellowship under the GCMI Name. The government of Kenya had
in the past mandated all ministries in Kenya to be dully registered. All
ministries that did not meet the financial requirements in Kenya including that
which was been run by Rev Starlin was deregistered last year. The deregistration
came at a time when Rev Karl Uhlig the President & Cofounder of GCMI and
the GCMI Board had agreed to give Credential to Rev Samuel Starlin, a charter
that would show him serve under GCMI. This gave a sign of relief and a
breakthrough for the Kenyan ministry. When the Credential came. Rev Starlin
presented it to the Kenyan Authorities and since then we have been recognized
and respected by the government as part and parcel of the GCMI in USA or as an
arm of the GCMI in USA. We have never experienced any government restrictions
while hosting our crusades or conferences. Our projects that we have had are
going on smoothly without the government obstruction. We humbly thank the GCMI
and Rev Karl for the Credential that has enabled us to preach the gospel with
ease thus saving more souls to the Kingdom of God.
THE MIGORI TOWN GCMI CHURCH.
Our
numbers have increased from 46 - 217 members. The number is increasing and
there is a great revival taking place here in Migori. We fellowship in a rental
house but we hope to built our own church building this year by the grace of
God. The church is located 3 Kilometers from the Central Business District of
Migori Town. It is easily accessible and located in a densely populated area
though there is rapid Islamic growth owing to the fact that Migori Town is at
the Boarder of Kenya and Tanzania.
THE WOMEN MINISTRY.
The
women ministry is growing strong; with a total of 66 members. They normally
have a bible exposition meeting on Wednesday and an overnight Prayer Meeting on
Thursday. They are planning for a mega conference this year dubbed "Women

numbers of youths are increasing at an alarming rate. 56 members of the youths
have been baptized in the past four months with 31 being filled with the Holy
Spirit. On Feb 5th-7th, 2009 we had a powerful and revival fire youth retreat
which saw many youths turn their lives to Christ and many were delivered from the
bondage of Satan. Rev Starlin is the Director of the youth ministry with
Evangelist Dominic Owigo as the Assistant Director The youths are scheduled to

THE ORPHANS PROJECT
The
GCMI Ministry in Kenya is running orphans Initiative Project that is
transforming lives and catering for the lives of 60 total orphans whose parents
died during the 2007 post-election chaos that rocked the country Kenya and led
to 350,000 people internally displaced with over 1500 people dead. The name of
the project is called Beulah Orphans Initiative (BOI)
BEULAH
The
name Beulah is derived from the inherent word of God (The Holy Bible) which is
transliterated to mean-Married unto God and not forsaken. Isaiah 62:4 The
initiative was founded in the year 2007 after the disputed presidential
election that almost tore the Kenyan nation into pieces and left over 1500
people died and approximately 350,000 people displaced. During this period
thousands of children were affected and majority left orphan. Compelled by
compassion and the Love for Christ, Apostle decided to take care of a total of
60 desperate orphans whose parents’ whereabouts cannot be traced and have been
declared by the Kenyan Red Cross Society as total orphans. Mission Statement: -
Beulah orphans Initiative is a non profit humanitarian organization that seeks
to improve the quality of lives of the homeless and orphaned kids through
programs designed to develop their spirit, mind and body, so they can realize
their full potential in the society. Beulah Orphans Initiative- intends to
reach out to the homeless orphaned and exploited children through select
programs that target underserved communities. To achieve this goal, BOI will
implement the following strategies: • Establish a home for vulnerable children
with no families • Empower, protect and strengthen the care of orphans within
their extended families and communities • Set up a system that will support
families and communities to respond to the psychological needs of the orphans,
homeless, and exploited children • Emphasize the need for the youth to be
involved in decision making in community problems e.g. AIDS • Target the most
vulnerable children and communities, not only those orphaned by AIDS. •
Establish school and free access to education • Reduce stigma and
discrimination against people living with AIDS • Implement economic
intervention strategies towards families with needs • Start up programs that
will address the sexual abuse and exploitation of women and girls • Linking
HIV/AIDS prevention with support for orphans and vulnerable children
THE SAD STATISTICS.
• An
estimated 1 million children living with HIV • In a joint report by the UNAIDS and
UNICEF, they estimated that 892,000 children under the age 15 had lost their
mother or both parents to AIDS by the end of 2001. • The Kenyan National AIDS
and sexually transmitted disease control program (NASCOP) estimates that there
will be 1.5 million orphans under 15 years by 2005, largely due to AIDS. • US
census bureau projections indicate that by 2005, there will be about 820
orphaned per day from AIDS. Beulah Orphans Initiative- will strive to establish
a safe and secure place for children with no families to call home, which would
enable them to receive tender care and loving support during their stay there.
Every child deserves a chance- a chance to live, a chance to love and be loved,
a chance to learn, and a chance to grow into a happy and productive adult.
Unfortunately, too many children are denied a chance for these basic human
rights. BOI is a caring and counseling ministry for the needy children
especially those on the streets and those from poor families and total orphans
in the Migori Area.

BOI’S FUTURE OBJECTIVES:-
To
build a rehabilitation centre for the needy children especially those on the
streets as well as aids orphans who are much on the increase. To sponsor
children in formal education To identify children for skills training To rescue
and provide care for street children To feed, clothe and help the needy in
general welfare and spiritual growth Provide shelter Short Term Goals: •To meet
all basic needs of the orphans •To have an active after school supplemental
education program (teaching English, reading and writing, personal finances,
science, health, and cultural education) •To provide all needed health care to
each child •To provide an optimal environment with proper nutrition,
supervision, and resources •To provide extracurricular opportunities such as sports
and music •To facilitate community support of the home based care’s by
communication and service projects •To emphasize AIDS education and awareness
to the children and community in order to reduce stigmatism •To own and operate
a small brick making project to support the orphans. •To provide a pathway for
children to transition and move on from the home based care with minimal
difficulty •To provide a pathway for the orphans to become successful adults
who are self-sufficient and a contribution to society •To provide and fund
trade school and college opportunities •To bring in international volunteers to
work at the home based care sites, teaching after school lessons and working
with other internal projects •To develop an international volunteer program
(with volunteers from around the world) complete with optional volunteer sites
and programs, in addition to cultural language, and travel exposure. Goals Long
Term Goals. • To own our own property and building • To expand to 200 orphans •
To open a school block/an academy for the orphans and the disadvantaged in the
society. • To run an HIV/AIDS education campaign/counseling/testing • To
provide more international volunteer opportunities in neighboring communities •
To implement various community development and volunteer projects • To start an
health clinic for the orphans and the less privileged.
BOI’S ACHIEVEMENTS
Having
started the Initiative as a feeding centre with only 60 children who were
identified due to malnutrition and post –election violence, we have since been
engaged in sponsoring through nursery, primary and secondary school. Over 100
children have been assisted in one way or the other by. There is a remarkable
improvement in those families who have continued to relate with us spiritually.
We have even put up EVANGELISM BOI Ministry, being a Christian Ministry; we
take time out in the slums, hospitals, market centers, outreaches, prisons and
other churches to share Christ with parents and youngsters. It is the founder’s
belief that many problems like drunkenness, child labor, sexual abuse and
poverty contribute to the negligence of the children but these problems are
solved when parents turn to Christ through salvation. FINANCIAL DIFFICULTIES
Due to financial constraints we may not been able to take full care of the
children who will be completing schools for skills training or to colleges in
the foreseeable future. We have therefore only partly achieved our goals. Have
also been using a local church compound as counseling, mentoring and feeding
center especially during Sundays. There is a very urgent need to build an
orphanage where the children can be housed properly and be well taken care of.
The Centre has managed to acquire a piece of land where we hope to construct
permanent orphanage facilities, drill a borehole. We need to buy all the
necessary furniture, electricity, buy a project vehicle to take the children to
Public Schools, have recreation facilities, food and salaries for the workers.
We have a vision of housing more than 100 orphans and the disable children in
the foreseeable future. Contacts us:- Beulah Orphans Initiative P.O BOX
