Joseph Smith

Exactly who is Joseph Smith, the orchestrator of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints? Is he, indeed a prophet of God in America and someone other than a mere cultist?

A False prophet by Biblical standard!!!

At fourteen years of age, Joseph Smith was a religiously confused young man. Does it sound as though teens in the 1800's were any different than those of today? "NO" would be an entirely appropriate answer. And in typical teen age fashion, he sought answers in some very wrong areas.

We must also keep in mind that all teens go through a rebellious stage. Just look around you and what I'm saying becomes very evident. Do the "Rock" starts of today, such as they are, put forth a standard of excellence in educational and moral behavior? Or is lawlessness, perverted and illicit sex a bit more like what you see.

Young Joseph dabbled in the occult, and developed a less than sterling attitude. As his personality developed, so did the seeds of conceit and deceit. Mystic symbols and magic, diving stones, and the like became his weapons of choice, along with lies and secrets. Does this sound familiar too you? Small wonder then, that out of this background, came the invisible world of the religion of fantasy we now know as The LDS or Mormon Church.

Joseph Smith SR. was a mystic, and counterfeiter. Not an honorable role model. His mother Lucy, was a holder of superstition and also, less than an admirable role model. Small wonder then, that the stage was set for the young man's fall from what most people would call normalcy.

I think it fair to say that the prognosis of this young man to become a sterling example for others to follow, was nil at best. But we must also remember that it takes more than one individual to assemble, solitarily, what would become such a vast and unholy organization. There would have to be other like minded individuals, conspiring together with him, to carry out such a plot.

In order for a person to be a true prophet, the Bible states:

Jer 28:9 As for the prophet who prophesies peace, when the word of that prophet comes to pass, then it will be known that the LORD has truly sent the prophet."

Please consider a very important idea here. If the Church Joseph Smith claimed would be the restored, true Church Jesus wanted on earth, where is the peace that would accompany it, and thereby fulfill the prophecy below?

Mic 4:3 He shall judge between many peoples, and shall decide for strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more;

It hasn't happened people, and it won't happen until the Lord (Jesus Christ) comes back to this earth himself!

Joh 14:3 And when I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.

1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the archangel's call, and with the sound of the trumpet of God...

Those of us who are alive and working within the confines of scriptural bounds, know that the Bible has already given us all there is to be learned about the "True Church" of Jesus. She is his bride, and the rules of government and conduct are already in place. We have also been warned against false prophets who would arise, and been given a guide on how to know them:

De 18:22 when a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is a word which the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously, you need not be afraid of him.

No one can produce an accurate prophecy by Joseph Smith. Not one of his successors has made or claimed a demonstrable prophecy either. If there had been such a thing, the LDS Church would have certainly made a grandiose public display of it wouldn't they have?

The historical record then, indicates that the founder of the LDS or Mormon Church, was nothing less than a scoundrel, idolater, and in no way a Christian. How sad it is, to know that millions of people around the world, have heeded this sacrilegious cultist's message, and are doomed to a life in Hell, unless there can be a miraculous escape to the sheepfold of Jesus.
