According to a number of creation accounts, such as the Enuma Elish, The Epic of Gilgamesh and the Bible; entire civilizations existed on this earth, that were created by a host of gods, or a monotheistic God.  The important thing to remember here, is that in each case, there is no real mention of a spontaneous event such as the "Big Bang" that introduced the earth or its peoples, except for the Bible.

In time, each of the existing civilizations was destroyed by a cataclysmic event known as "the flood" because the creator(s) were angry at the creatures (people) who had been created.   These are the people known as the Antediluvians.  That is to say, the people who lived in pre flood times.

If a person is to accept what is offered by those who prescribe to the evolutionary theory, we would be dealing with an early civilization of mere animal like people who could accomplish little more than a meager existence of sustaining life on terra firma. However, the Bible gives us a much different view, which if accepted, distinguishes the events of such accounts.  We can take a two-fold approach then, as follows:

• The Bible stands alone in its account as an accurate historical document rather than a mere myth.   It offers an historical, genealogical record that must be disproved.



• There is not sufficient unified scientific evidence to support the idea that such a flood actually did or did not take place.  Nor has either side has been able to convince the other of insurmountable proof of what they hold as the proper position.   Hmmm?

What I would like to point out to you here, is that regardless of where we turn, no universal stamp of approval has been or can be offered to you.  Since no one, from scientist to clergy, can be found to universally agree on the subjects involved, you must study out what is now offered, and then make a decision for your self, as to how to place your faith.

 But wait.  Perhaps some light can be shed on these people and the topic, with a new, but viable point of view?  We believe that the Bible, in opposition to the popular secular science theories, does indeed, give an accurate, historical account.  In doing so, it shows us that these ancient peoples were by no means related to animals, and that there is no such thing as the so called "missing link" combining the human and animal attributes!

As a point of illustration, allow me offer you texts that can help you to examine for your self, the scriptures that would show how advanced these people actually were.

• Genesis 4:17  And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch. {Enoch: Heb. Chanoch}


• Genesis 4:21  And his brother’s name was Jubal: he was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ.


• Genesis 4:22  And Zillah, she also bare Tubalcain, an instructer of every artificer in brass and iron: and the sister of Tubalcain was Naamah. {instructer: Heb. whetter}


• Genesis 11:4  And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.


• Genesis 6:14  Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch. {rooms: Heb. nests}
